Wash the spinach leaves thoroughly, discarding the stems. Make idlis in a pressure cooker or Idli steamer and serve. Stuffed Idli is a delicious and healthy snack. For the filling, I used spicy chana dal stuffing which makes it unique and also flavorful.
Instructions to make Spinach Idli:
- Wash Spinach and boil spinach ginger garlic cloves green chilli cumin seeds. For 5min.add salt and drain. Churn and make smooth paste.adding 1tbsp. Curd.
- Now mix semolina curd cup, and spinach puree. Mix well cover and leave for 5-7min.
- Mean while heat ghee on a pan add mustard seeds splited black grams dal roasted bangle gram asofoetida mix well and add in semolina batter. Mix properly. If need water add 1/4cup.
- Boil water in a steamer grease idli stand. Add 1/2tsp. Fruit salt and 4-5drops of lemon juice. Mix well. Fill idli mould cover the lid and cook for 10min.
- Take out from steamer let it cool and demould. Serve with coconut chutney and watermelon juice. Tasty healthy breakfast is ready to serve
