  7. Add sugar and tofu to the sesame seeds and grind up well.
  8. When the mixture is smooth, season with soy sauce and salt.
  9. Mix in the vegetables just before eating, and it's done.

Shira-ae is not a fancy dish, and it involves a little bit, but worth trying. It's one of the Shojin Ryori of Buddhist temple.
