  7. In a mould, add dates and 2 tbsp mixed nuts. Pour the custard over the dates and nuts. Top it with the remaining nuts.
  8. Let it cool completely. This will thicken more as it cools.
  9. Refrigerate it and Serve chilled.

I use custard powder for a very quick (and nostalgic) custard which goes in the middle of the bars. The tangy raspberries really help to offset some of the sweetness from the batter and makes these.
